Joe Schaffer is the Founder and President of f/32 Partners L.L.C., an executive coaching, leadership development, training, and human resources strategy consultancy. He also serves as the executive coach for the Rutgers Business School’s Executive MBA (EMBA) program and is a senior editor for the Rutgers Business Review. In addition, he is currently an instructor for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring our Heroes program, and is an executive coach for Performance in Mind, a human performance consulting firm.

Schaffer was formerly the Associate Dean at the Rutgers Business School responsible for Executive Education, Military & Veterans Programs, and Alumni & Corporate Engagement. He was an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in the school’s Supply Chain department and was the Director of the Rutgers Executive MBA and Executive Education programs in Singapore. He also taught graduate courses in developing human capital and performance management in the Master of Human Resource Management program at the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR).

 

Prior to joining Rutgers, Schaffer was the Vice-President of Human Resources for the Americas, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, for TNT (now a subsidiary of FedEx), a progressive Netherlands-based global logistics and transport organization of 160,000 employees. During his tenure, TNT was recognized for being the first company ever, to achieve the prestigious “Investor in People” global standard and was ranked #13 in world for the “development of leaders” by Fortune.

 

Schaffer has a Master’s of Human Resource Management from Rutgers University and holds a Post Graduate Award in Business and Management from the Warwick Business School in the U.K. He earned his Executive Coaching certificate from the Columbia Business School.
